Breakfast was OK, though offering only pre-packaged “muesli” was not great. Otherwise breakfast was good: lots of fresh fruit, a nice selection of breads and pastries, and even plant-based beverages (oat and soy milks) for my cereal and hot beverages such as cappuccino! The breakfast staff was accommodating, indeed the entire staff (and I do mean EVERYONE) was as kind, helpful, and friendly as could be. Everybody was willing to “bend over backwards” to do anything to make sure guests enjoyed their stay. Being vegan, I asked for a salad made ONLY with vegetables (no cheese, no meat, no fish, etc.), and they delivered a beautifully made fresh salad that I wish I could get in restaurants all over Spain! The staff was also happy to store some of my belongings while I moved to another city for a coupe of days, before returning to Valladolid for a few more days. My room had a lovely small balcony that overlooked the pretty park right in front of the hotel! I greatly enjoyed the view of the park - at all hours of the day and night - especially since the statue directly in front of my window was nicely lit up at night. During my stay, I had several nice chats with some of the reception staff, who were all really helpful and knowledgeable, making me feel very much at home as a guest at Hotel Colón Plaza. The location of the hotel is wonderful (Valladolid’s lovely Campo Grande green space/park - with living pheasants, no less! - is right at the hotel’s doorstep). The hotel is also just a few minutes walk from the train station, and a short walk from the lovely city center, with its beautiful old buildings, plazas and public squares, churches, and stunning old-world architecture! I highly recommend both the hotel and its delightful staff, as well as the welcoming city of Valladolid, for anybody looking to enjoy a genuinely lovely Spanish city and a good time without hoards of tourists everywhere!

This is a really, good, warm, welcoming hotel & very modern. It is located in a very prime location, the best part of the City, very central, 3 minutes walk from the train station and opposite a beautiful park. There are restaurants and shops nearby and the hotel also has a lovely restaurant. From when you walk through the door, the staff are at hand to assist you with your luggage. From the very lovely Carlos & his team at reception, to the manager Mr Alonso checking in with us to see if we had everything we needed, to the lovely man that served us dinner on the first night to the staff that served us breakfast every morning and the lovely cleaner that kept our room so clean and tidy. We are grateful to you all for making our stay special. We had a nightmare journey, where our flight was an hour late and the connecting trains were all cancelled, we ended up getting a 2 hour taxi from Madrid to Valladolid, and arrived at the hotel at 9pm. So the very warm welcome Carlos gave us, plus telling us our room had been upgraded was just priceless- thank you Carlos! The breakfast and restaurant food was also really lovely. X The staff even sent me off, on the last morning (as I didn't stop for breakfast) with a coffee and some chocolates!! The hotel decor was really modern with beautiful colours, the shower 🚿 & facilities were very modern, with soap & creams etc provided. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I was upgraded to a sweet suite. The suite had a kitchen if necessary, it had a very comfortable love seat couch for sitting . The room had a walk-in shower which I loved. Comfortable bed. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The location was only five minutes to the train station. I took advantage of the location by taking train day trips to Salamanca, Segovia and Avila. The street the hotel was on had many restaurants. At the end of the street was a beautiful fountain that was lit up at night. I felt safe at 2100 hrs. Good breakfast. Big safe.

Excellent location, 5 mins walk from train station and close to all sights, areas to eat in, opposite gardens to walk in and along a nice boulevard with bars and restaurants. Staff were welcoming, warm and helpful. Comfortable room, and very clean. Modern and good rain shower. We did not try the restaurant but staff were very helpful when we requested a couple of items. On an aside Valladolid is a much underrated Spanish city to visit, it has a lot to offer!

I travel in Spain for work nearly continuously and have stayed in many hotels over the years. I think this is actually the best I have encountered! The front desk staff was hands down the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful I've ever met. It was a pleasure to interact with them. On top of that, the room was large and very comfortable, the breakfast perfect, and the location 5 minutes walk from the train station. I will stay here again.
